Parker Kligerman returned to Victory Lane at Talladega Superspeedway when he won Saturday's Fred's 250 as the Round of 6 was set for the Camping World Truck Series playoffs.

Kligerman only led three laps on Saturday including the final two and scored his second career series win, both coming at Talladega.

“This is incredible,” said Kligerman, who got by Bell on the final lap of overtime. “I’m out of breath, I guess I’m out of shape racing all these kids. It was just crazy that every move I tried, worked.

“Those last 10 laps, no matter if I went high and separated a pack or was trying get the bump and run, every move just worked. Sometimes, it just goes your way. We did that but it starts with having a fast truck. It’s an honor to be racing with this team, it’s one of the oldest in NASCAR, but to win with them is incredible.”

Kligerman’s last series win came at Talladega in 2012.

Christopher Bell, Myatt Snider, Grant Enfinger and Austin Cindric rounded out the top five.

John Hunter Nemechek, Vinnie Miller, Clay Greenfield, Matt Crafton and Tyler Young completed the first 10 finishers.

Nemechek had to battle back from heavy damage to his No. 8 Chevrolet from a multi-truck crash on Lap 54.

Johnny Sauter won the first two stages of the race.

Two drivers were eliminated from the playoff field as Chase Briscoe and Kaz Grala, who was knocked out of the race in an early crash, missed the cut.

“This is just the situation we were dealt in the playoffs and you have to go out here and perform,” Briscoe said.” Honestly, if we run better at Loudon this doesn’t happen. The good Lord has a bigger plan and I am not sure what that is. As much as this sucks right now I am still grateful and fortunate to be running race cars for a living. I have to think big picture but it sucks.

The playoffs roll into round two at Martinsville Speedway in two weeks with Bell, Ben Rhodes, Johnny Sauter, Crafton, Cindric and Nemechek still in the championship hunt.
