Chase Pistone will race in 14 NASCAR Camping World Truck Series races in 2014 with NTS Motorsports, driving the No. 9 Chevrolet.
Pistone is set to make his debut for NTS Motorsports in the Kroger 250 at Martinsville Speedway on March 29th. Pistone will be testing with his No. 9 NTS Motorsports team on March 18th and 19th at the half-mile along with NTS teammate Gray Gaulding.
Pistone's schedule will go on to include NASCAR's return to Gateway Motorsports Park, Kentucky Speedway on June 26th, Iowa Speedway, Pocono Speedway and the remainder of the 2014 NCWTS season with the exceptions of Eldora Speedway, Canadian Tire Motorsports Park and Homestead-Miami Speedway where a driver is expected to be announced in the coming weeks.
Pistone's No. 9 Chevrolet Silverado will be led by veteran crew chief Gere Kennon.
"I am excited to see Chase get this opportunity. I have always enjoyed working with rookies and helping them get to the next level" said Kennon.
Pistone, who grew up around racing the INEX Legend Cars and then Late Models around the Carolina's, moved into what is now known as the CARS Pro Cup Series. He spent some time in the NASCAR's national series but has since taken time off to run his own business an INEX Legends Cars and Super Late Model shop out of Mooresville, NC. Pistone helped groom young talented driver such as NTS Motorsports own Gray Gaulding, who won the 2010 INEX Young Lion Legend Cars National Championship for Chase Pistone Inc.
"It's pretty incredible how the circle of life is," Pistone said. "I have known Gray (Gaulding) and his father Dwayne for several years. Gray drove legend cars out of my stable and was always one to keep your eye one. I can't thank Dwayne, Bob Newberry, and all the guys at NTS for giving me this opportunity. The equipment and preparation that goes into each race vehicle at NTS is unbelievable, I can't wait to get back in the seat and learn from these guys."
