FORT WORTH, Texas - After his first career victory in last weekend’s NASCAR Camping World Truck Series race at Martinsville Speedway, Darrell Wallace Jr. got a grandfather clock that goes to the winner, a request to be on the Arsenio Hall Show and numerous congratulations.

But what stood out the most for him this past week?

"The coolest thing that happened was Tyra Banks followed me on Twitter," Wallace said of the former supermodel and creator of "America’s Next Top Model."

Banks has more than 10.8 million followers on Twitter.  She follows about 2,300.  It’s all just part of winning in NASCAR.  Of course, now it's back to work with the trucks racing tonight at Texas Motor Speedway.

"It's been a busy week for me, busiest of my career," said Wallace, who became the first African-American to win a national series NASCAR race since Wendell Scott in 1963.  "That's part of it, right?  To come off a big win at Martinsville, that was outstanding.  Credit goes back to my guys on that one.  I still haven't really had time to let it sink in, but having that (grandfather) clock in my new place sure is nice."

Motor Racing Network - "The Voice of NASCAR" - will have live coverage of Friday's WinStar World Casino 350 Camping World Truck Series race, beginning at 8 p.m. (ET) - with live streaming at MRN.com.
