Additional arrest warrants have been issued for NASCAR Nationwide driver Mike Harmon and his business associate, David Novak, for the theft of vehicles belonging to fellow competitor Jennifer Jo Cobb, the Rowan County Sheriff’s office stated Monday.

The arrest warrants were issued Sunday. Capt. John Sifford of the Rowan County Sheriff’s Office, said that Harmon turned himself into Cleveland County authorities Monday and was released after posting a $10,000 secured bond. Novak had not been served as of late Monday night, Sifford stated.

Harmon and Novak are each charged with breaking and entering. They also are charged with larceny after breaking and entering. The charges are in connection to the theft of five racing trucks, two racing cars, $100 cash, tools, clothing, racing-related merchandise, vehicle parts, tool boxes and other property belonging to Cobb with a total value of $125,000, according to the report. The vehicles were taken in Dec. 2012 and recovered in May from Harmon’s race shop and a storage facility.

Novak is a former partner with Cobb. They formed JJC Racing, LLC in Jan. 2010.

Novak is suing Cobb in U.S. District Court, claiming that she took nearly $250,000 from the company’s bank account for her own personal use. He also claims in the suit that he purchased all of the assets of JJC, including race cars, equipment and a trailer. Novak claims in his complaint that Cobb “broke into the Warehouse and removed the Trailer ... without Novak’s consent or knowledge.’’

Novak sought a preliminary injunction and temporary restraining order against Cobb in February that would return the trailer to him, among other things U.S. District Court Judge Richard Voorhees denied the motion on Feb. 25.

Arrest warrants for Harmon and Sheila Rice were issued in May for the theft of Cobb’s trailer. Harmon. They both were charged with breaking and entering a motor vehicle and felony larceny. Each was released on a $10,000 secured bond.

Harmon claimed his innocence last month before competing in a Camping World Truck Series race at Charlotte Motor Speedway.

“You couldn’t drag me over there (to her shop),’’ Harmon said at the time. “I know she’s got a lot of animosity toward me because Dave (Novak) has helped me some this year and because I helped him retrieve his stuff. She thinks it’s her stuff. If you go to Wal-Mart, you’ve got to pay for the stuff before you leave before it’s yours. She did not pay for it.’’
