Kevin Harvick outran Johnny Sauter to score his third straight NASCAR Camping World Truck Series win in Wednesday night's O'Reilly 200 at Bristol Motor Speedway.

Harvick followed his victories at Pocono Raceway and Michigan International Speedway with his third consecutive win and first career Truck Series triumph at Bristol.

It was his 12th career NCWTS win coming in his 112th start.

Austin Dillon brought out the race’s final caution on lap 186 when he ran out of fuel on pit road to set up the final nine lap dash to the checkered flag that began when the green flag reappeared on lap 191.

But Harvick got a tremendous jump on the field on the restart and drove away to the victory.

“Feels great to finally win here in a truck,” Harvick said. “That was a great truck and this is a big win for KHI.”

Harvick has now won at Bristol in all three of NASCAR's national series. He has also done it at Michigan, Martinsville, Phoenix and Atlanta.

Harvick credited his pit crew with helping him to Victory Lane including one stop in particular on lap 32 to give him important track position.

“They had a smoking fast pit stop,” Harvick said. “That was really the key moment in the race for us.”

Sauter scored his third second-place finish of the season and tried to close to the gap to Harvick in the closing laps but eventually ran out of time.

Todd Bodine, James Buescher and Timothy Peters rounded out the top five.

Joey Coulter, Justin Lofton, Nelson Piquet Jr., Elliott Sadler and Parker Kligerman completed the first 10 finishers.

The race featured a controversial incident between Elliott Sadler and Kyle Busch, who made contact on lap 99 while fighting for position.

The collision sent Busch hard into the wall causing severe damage to the Kyle Busch Motorsports Toyota.

Clearly upset, Busch limped his battered truck around the track until catching up to Sadler and sent the pole sitter into the wall.

“I didn’t even have time to check up or anything,” Sadler said of the initial incident. “He just wrecked himself. I just wish he’d watch the tape and understand what happened before he came back and retaliated.”

Busch accused Sadler of wrecking him because of his relationship with truck series archrival KHI, despite the fact the Virginia driver was driving for Joe Denette Motorsports Wednesday night.

“Where does his paycheck come from?” Busch said. “I pulled a slide job on him and he ran into me three times after that. He owed me anyway and wrecked us. I’m not going to put up with it.”

But Harvick denied Sadler’s status with his team had anything to do with what transpired on Wednesday night.

“That’s just Kyle bitching because Kyle didn’t win,” Harvick said. “Elliott Sadler wasn’t even driving my truck tonight. You can’t fix a crybaby and he’s just a crybaby.”

Sauter is the point leader now by seven over Buescher with Peters 15 behind and Dillon and Cole Whitt the first five.

The NASCAR Camping World Truck Series now heads to Atlanta Motor Speedway on Friday night, September 2nd.
