Busch grabbed the top spot on the final green flag pit stop of the 200-lap race at the one mile speedway and kept his Billy Ballew-owned truck ahead to score his fifth victory of the season.
"They told me we had just enough there to get to the end and thankfully we did," said Busch.
Kevin Harvick Inc. teammates Kevin Harvick and Ron Hornaday tried to run down Busch in the closing laps but appeared to have communication problems regarding their strategy and could only follow Busch across the finish line.
Hornaday came home second with Harvick third however he was not pleased with his teammate and voiced his displeaure through some pointed comments on the radio.
The two also confronted each other in a heated exchange on pit road when the race ended.
"It was poor communication," Harvick said. "I felt like we had the two best trucks today."
Matt Crafton finished fourth and Johnny Sauter was fifth.
Stacy Compton, Brian Scott, Mike Skinner, who has his two-race winning streak snapped, Colin Braun and Rick Crawford rounded out the top ten.
Hornaday extended his point lead to 217 over Crafton.
"It was a good day until after the race," Hornaday said.
The NASCAR Camping World Truck Series now heads to Las Vegas Motor Speedway next Saturday night.
