Rain Gives Ragan Pole
April 29, 2006 | 5:48 P.M. EST
Qualifying was actually scheduled for 5 p.m. (ET), but rain showers postponed practice and NASCAR opted to cancel qualifying so drivers could hopefully get time out on the track.
Ragan, whose previous best start in 13 races was fifth, sits up front courtesy of the owner points of the No. 6 Ford, which Martin has piloted to two wins already this year.
Last season's event winner, Ted Musgrave, will start alongside Ragan on the front row while Todd Bodine, David Reutimann and David Starr comprise the top five starting positions.
Barring any weather delays, the Dodge Dealers Ram Tough 200 is set to take the green flag at 8:15 p.m. (ET) and can be seen live on SPEED.
