    What they are Saying
"This is my home race and to win here is one of my goals. I have a lot of confidence for this weekend. The team has been working very hard and I know we will be strong. I have learned a lot these past two years, and feel I am ready to challenge for race wins."
--Kosuke Matsuura, driver of the No. 55 Panasonic ARTA for Super Aguri Fernandez Racing

"I love the country. I enjoy the food, it’s different from the Japanese food that you find in Brazil or America. I also enjoy the people; they are very open and very polite."
--Felipe Giaffone, driver of the No. 14 ABC Supply for A.J. Foyt Racing

"I can tell you everybody at Panther Racing is very excited to get back on track and continue the great weekend we had at St. Pete. I remember how strong the No. 4 car was in Japan last year and we’ve got a great baseline to start from this weekend."
--Vitor Meira, driver of the No. 4 Network LIVE for Panther Racing

"The Firestone engineers and chemists have shown yet again why they are recognized as one of the finest race tire development groups around the globe. Most times when a tire compound is developed that yields better wear, it trades away some grip that drivers crave. Yet the new compound the Firestone staff has created should improve both wear and grip on the right-side tires that take such a beating on these fast ovals. Best of all, the tires we've brought for Motegi will provide a great preview for the month of May because we're bringing the same specification for use in the Indianapolis 500."
--Al Speyer, Executive Director of Firestone Racing

"The track is unique in a lot of ways. It is a challenging oval that really offers two completely different types of corners at either end of the track which makes for really exciting racing."
--Scott Sharp, driver of the No. 8 Delphi for Delphi Fernandez Racing

"The XM Satellite Radio team would like to get a top three at Motegi where you’ve got to be brave and fast, just like at all the other big ovals."
--Bryan Herta, driver of the No. 7 XM Satellite Radio for Andretti-Green Racing
