JC France, third-place finisher in the recent Rolex 24 At Daytona, will open the Feb. 17 program and will be interviewed by J.J. O'Malley, D.C. Williams and studio host Wyatt Davis.
France co-drove with Joao Barbosa, 2003 Daytona Prototype champion Terry Borcheller and five-time Rolex 24 overall winner Hurley Haywood in the No. 59 Brumos Porsche Riley. France and Haywood co-drove to two overall victories in 2003 Grand-Am Rolex Sports Car Series presented by Crown Royal Cask No. 16 competition.
Also scheduled for Tuesday's show is James Hunt, a KONI Sports Car Challenge driver who will race in the Mustang Challenge during the upcoming March 14-15 Grand-Am Fan Appreciation Weekend at Homestead-Miami Speedway. Racing for Capaldi Racing, Hunt will be piloting the "Media Car," which will be deployed at select events through the 2009 Mustang Challenge season. Doing double duty as both a racer and a journalist for Speedtv.com, the event will see Hunt look to quickly adapt to several new factors.
Pat Iannucci won the ST class in the 2009 KONI Sports Car Challenge season-opening Fresh From Florida 200 at Daytona International Speedway, co-driving with Lawson Aschenbach for Georgian Bay Motorsports. The pair will return in the Chevrolet Cobalt for March 14-15 Grand-Am Fan Appreciation Weekend at Homestead. The Daytona victory was the first race in a car for Iannucci, a veteran of karting competition.
Grand-Am Weekly debuted in mid-May 2008 on WROD-AM, Daytona Beach.
