Bourdais Testing F1 Car

Current Champ Car World Series champion Sebastian Bourdais will test a Formula One car, for the second time in his career, this week at the Jerez de la Frontera circuit in Spain.

Bourdais will be behind the wheel of a Scuderia Toro Rosso car when the Red Bull-owned team returns to testing December 13-15. The Frenchman has been given approval from his current Champ Car racing team, Newman Haas Racing, to participate in the test. He previously tested with Renault in 2002.

The three-time champion is expected to defend his title in the Champ Car World Series with Newman Haas Racing in 2007.

Toro Rosso is the only team that has yet to confirm its 2007 driver lineup. Last year's drivers, American Scott Speed and Vitantonio Liuzzi tested with the team earlier this month, but neither driver has secured a race seat for the team in 2007.
