Red Bull Announces 2007 Engine Strategy

Share:
Red Bull Racing has confirmed that beginning next season they will use Renault Engines while their sister operation, Scuderia Toro Rosso, will have engines supplied by Ferrari.

While Renault and Ferrari had been confirmed earlier to supply the teams, it was initially supposed to be that Red Bull used Ferrari powerplants – as they did in 2006. While supposedly reluctant, Ferrari agreed to the change.

Next year will be the first that Toro Rosso uses V8 engines, having been given special exemption to run restricted Cosworth V10’s this past season.
