After months of speculation, various sources are reporting that American Scott Speed will be one of the two Scuderia Toro Rosso drivers in the 2006 Formula One World Championship.
Speed will partner the team’s eldest driver, 24-year old Tonio Liuzzi, next season. Neel Jani will take up the role of Friday driver for Toro Rosso, who will be competing in their first World Championship next season.
The three drivers combine to make one of the youngest teams in Formula One, with an average age of 23 years.
