Buescher Making Superspeedway Debut

Chris Buescher, who won twice at Toledo Speedway in ARCA Racing Series presented by Menards competition before his 18th birthday, will make his superspeedway debut on Saturday, February 12 in the Lucas Oil Slick Mist 200 at Daytona International Speedway.
The Prosper, Texas native appears on the latest entry list for next week's season opener, and will drive the familiar No. 17 Roulo Brothers Racing Ford. Buescher, a developmental driver for Roush Fenway Racing, finished 20th in ARCA Racing Series driver points last season even after making just eight of 20 starts.
In all, Buescher led 237 laps last season, fourth among all drivers. He led 126 laps to win from the pole at Toledo in May before returning in September and leading 28 laps to win from the 23rd starting position. Buescher also won the Menards Pole Award presented by Ansell at Mansfield Motorsports Park last July.
Three weeks ago, Buescher led the opening session of ARCA Racing Series testing on Daytona's 2.5-mile oval, driving a best lap of 49.315 seconds (182.5 mph). He finished the test week 26th of 58 drivers with a best lap of 49.191 seconds (182.96 mph).
